Truth is often what many seeks. Or at least those who thinks they are right-minded and wanting to understand the ways of the world. but truth, even if presented with the purest of innocence and absolute knowledge available, might not always be the same. i realised that truth is not an absolute, nor is it a constant, far far from it. while most think that truth is just basically the facts without denial or lies, it is not this case if u consider truth as perspectives. i realised that truth is in fact the greatest POSSIBLE knowledge to any particular case, or the furthest understanding man is able to derive from the whys and hows of the case. Considering there is always a limit to the human mind, there could always be a higher level of truth that is working its way through our everyday lives.
Why is the tide changing 4 times a day and not 5? why is there change in tide once in every 7.5 day and not 7.75 day? why is the sun yellow? being human, we must have already found a "scientific explanation" attached to every question that was posed, all just in order to provide enuff reasoning for the mind and to convince us of human supremacy over the entire universe. However, if u just lose that ego for a minute and ask urself that Queston again, why is the sun yellow? one can really not answer the question with full confidence. such is the futility, or the restrains of every species! they only understand things according to what they WANT to believe, maybe not even knowing that they are living it according to other ideas of other "higher species". A dog may think that the human treats it like its part of the family (tho this may actually be ture to some real animal lovers), but they dun understand that they're actually what we humans call "pets". they're not much different as the TAMAGOTCHI except that they breathe real life and makes u feel hurt when it finally stops operating as an active body mass. (i sound so evil, but its the truth.)
The degree of truth is hence understood till the point of being able to accept the lowness of oneself, and not for the egoistic bastards who constantly thinks that he is the best in the world. Take the monk and the scientist. i think that the monk sees more truth than the scientist, for he tries to accept the bigger picture and not try to prove every little thing for the short-lived ego boost. Thus, truth changes constantly. Do not be overly dependent to the one truth u've always knew. accept the questions, "live the questions, and perhaps, u might, without realising it, live some distant day into the the greater truth." ~some nun.
One thing to ponder upon. Its often said that the dolphin is almost as smart as the human, that they can understand human behavior and adapt to live with it etc etc... But this shld bring the msg across: try explaining the human game of politics to the dolphins and u'll realise that there's much truth to be uncovered yet for the dolphin species.
