reading

abit more than normally lately. perhaps its because of my dum dum fever which got me reading for fun's sake. maybe its because i lost interest in blogging, or jus using the com as a whole? not really sure...but seriously i realise that reading COULD actually be fun. heh. never knew that.

(okok nows the time when people start asking how can not read alot? and how can an arts student not like reading? well? i really dun read! got all those itty gritty info from....the streets? not really sure. but in any case, i never stay on a book for more than 1 week, and i NEVER read the final chapter usually. almost 4got the feeling of finishing a book. maybe its because i hate endings, i dun believe any story actually ends. perhaps something called "all in a week's happenings"...arr...den i may read.)

but i digress...(ok deviate, carol) i was saying reading could be FUN! hahas...recently got hooked up on romeo and juliet. simply love the way shakespeare plays with words so wittingly and of coz not forgetting the flowery flowery language that sounds so so nice! jus makes me read and re-read every scene. hahahas its kinda addictive actually. Hmm...

den i realise another thing abt reading. its ACTUALLY possible to read several books at a time, interchangeably. never believed anyone could read halfway and den plunge into another world of fantasy, and then coming back, or going into yet another, yet another. was often skeptical when i see becca carrying like 4 books on her hand, always thot she could get another book after she's done wif one, right? wrong. its very nice in fact, a break from the seemingly neverending lines after lines of text, and indulge in going thru another twilight zone. basically all these works because of the LAW OF DIMINISHING MARGINAL UTILITY. simple. heex.

ok so for moi second book. (eh! suddenly typing the word "my" in "moi" reminds me of shiangz!! i missed her so very much! dunno wad happened to her lehs. she disappeared from this world almost like she disappeared from my heart - but often resurfacing mahs. hahas come to think of it! i actually meant that i fall in love wif her everytime i see her?!?! oh my gosh! hahaha she's such a darling. love her to the bits!) oh i digressed again, shows how i dun really concentrate when i blog nowadays. not like i care seriously. heh.. my 2nd book? its teenage textbook & workbook revisted for the 47th time? heh...really read it upteen time oredi since its so sweet and takes barely a few hours to complete. i think i noe the story so well the book is only guiding me along in my imagination. used to read it during my BPGHS days, den try to fantasize abt being in a college. i took it wif a very different attitude. yesterday i found that book lying on the table and started on a book that i oredi noe the ending. but all the minute details abt college life and the actions of the dum dum discipline master seem to appeal to me in a different light now. i find them funny, reflective, some fictitious, some very relative. i smiled and smiled reading that book, but my focus wasnt pretty much on mui ee and chung kai and their foreva-the-same IHATCOY thingy. i believed i skipped that part yesterday, but for curious readers? it means "i had a terrible crush on you" which chung kai later immediately changed to "i HAVE a terrible crush on you". mui ee gets the hint, they held hands, kissed and everything can be predicted. boring stuffs.. i think my college exploits can be more exciting if i get to put it to words. so now...the same book is actually a different book. normally different book would be the same to me. so its a different same book different from same different book. i need a joke book *hint hint*

in the past the DM always acts fierce, and tries not to associate himself wif the student body so that they'll fear him. now DM -or OM- tries to be funny and tells lame jokes on the balcony. nobody luffs and they dismiss him wif a "diao". people think of the DM as a failed joker, and the DM thinks that of himself. he is sad. eg:
"i have a piece of good news. i am going to postpone -not cancel- the DC on wed. hahahahas" ok so where's the punch line?
"there will be a spot check on friday. oops. did i say 'spotcheck'? hahahahahas" wow. so funny eh?
"my name is mr silas" ok finally he got a good joke.

in the past, the chief concern was ALWAYS results. as in ALWAYS! try reading this book at sec 1 or pri 6. u wont even understand how anyone could have fun in school at all. u say u're about results now. compare that wif 4 years ago? ok see the difference? used to complain abt late days and the bell equates to "home to eat papa's fried egg!" now bell equals a whole new whole of college-life. i cant even write abt it, everyone got such a different afterschool-college-life, but each is so so so happening. shant comment more.

in the past, "eeee u boy, u sit there. u girl, i dun want to talk to u."
now - "woo! that number 6 basketball guy is so cute!!!! i wanna squeeze his cheek!!" or "wow nazhar's partner's a hot chick! must go chat her up later!! fwah! SCGS some more!! *slurps*"
