i cant think of a blog title to post this blog under. nothing fits, its either too cheeky or too sised. ah well..not like the blog cant live without the title -so too students. so wat if u're some top student now and u actually get perfecto results in ur BT2? u'll be given the title "top student" or "genius" or maybe not-so-nicely "walking textbook". i noe i'm saying this in a sarcastic way, in an envious way. i AM envious of those ppl who are actually well prepared for the test now and are oredi planning on the post-exams activities. i say "SO WHAT.", but well..its obviously just denial. afterall i've never once doubted that this school system corrupts the human brain, and equates knowledge with wisdom. come on! we all know that the smartest of students who can memorize the textbook word for word cant tell far east plaza from far east shopping center, and chances are they don't know who master yoda is! How wise..

exams are criminal, they make ppl believe that they're freaking air-heads and they "kill their happy child". Why exams in the first place? to make u feel like an air head so that u can buck up. so the best way to actually handle exams is to go in there and totally experience how it feels like to be an intelletually challenged? well...there are of course other reasons explained by econs as to why there shld be exams. exams provide stress, competition. and competition increases efficiency. well...efficiency onli in the academic aspect. i seriously believe that exams are accompanied by tonnes of other social problems, negative externalities flying everywhere. if time is a resource, den i would say that exams does not achieve productive efficiency at all. The marginal cost of producing that one unit of social welfare (in terms of better results) is not at all equal to the marginal cost of producing social welfare in terms of say soccering-fun. IF for the same amt of time, one wld be able to derive more pleasure playing then getting better results, then it is totally not justified to study unless u think u're spending ur time wisely. IF u think its worth it due to the future welfare that u'll derive, think again. how many years of life do u have? Can u really afford to only enjoy once u entered long run? wat if u die next year? or the day after tomorrow? or after block test -which is very likely.

i dunno why i'm ranting. maybe i'm jus affected by some others who are sharing the same feelings as me right now. "friday IS a long way to happiness". if only i can say some lame joke to cheer the world up now, but aye, feeling like an airhead now is STILL better than retaining/failing at the end of the year. Now, jus be depressed and behold the true mechanism of the education system.

ps: the air bubbles that got "cracked" comes back in no time. and its fun to crack it. heh.. take care.
