friday after i knock off from work, zq and i went to the skate supplier to discuss some business agreements. it was not a wasted trip. after that we went to great world city. we walked around and decided to have dinner at jack's place. dinner was GOOD, except that it felt supremely gay when the waitress wanted to light the candle for us - to which we declined, and laughed out loud. the "deleuxe combo" was really a little flattering, because you really dun feel like you're eating a "set dinner". pure hedonism. although we were supposed to go skate around town, we ended up shopping. the skates at the back of zq's car. at around 10pm we headed for my place because he wanted me to help him package his present for this girl. we took around 1 hour to finish doing so, and after that i wished i was the girl receiving the present - it looked so sweet for a present.
saturday, i went to my office at 7am to do some work. someimes i feel like a really busy man. when i reached office, i turned on the radio and filled the room with soft music, the likes of casablanca, eva cassidy, rockwell... and i actually gave my briefings with these music in the background! it's always such a nice feeling to be in camp on a saturday morning when everything is in a "relaxed mood", even my attire was jeans with a sweater. at around 10am, i left. went for a haircut, as part of my "ivan-project" to look decent.
just like time is SO precious, jaime had to ring me before i'm done. in the end we decided to have BBQ at her place, and thats the most impromptu BBQ i've ever had. We met at around 1pm and went to the skate supplier again to get jaime her skates! it wasnt easy to find something fitting for her tiny feet, but eventually we settled on a pair. She bought the skates at (undisclosed price) which i thought was really nice of the auntie! haha all because we're now considered to be "business associates". i think jaime liked her skates - according to her blog (i'm not psychic!).
After skate shopping, we went to shop for food! it was such a fun time as jaime -the science student- held on to the calculator, while ivan -the arts student- pushed the trolley because all he can do is to "talk crap." We went to TWO different supermarkets, for the records. we prepared the food at her place, before we picked rebecca and venessa over for a nice homely tabletop BBQ!
after dinner, jaime wanted to try her skates. so we went skating around seletar camp! it was really nice to skate there at night, but we didnt really go as far as we did when i skated with jaime alone. if only everyday was like that!
sunday, i woke up to the sounds of Diana Krall twisting the notes of "besame mucho". it. was. so. sexy. its on days like this that i totally love the fact that mum appreciates good music. contrary to her auntie auntie look, my mum despises pop, thinks that jay chou is a waste of money, and listens to nat king cole and the likes. on a lazy sunday morning, she has a special way of waking me up by turning up the volume of a jazz piece (because i'll wake up without a grumble). i rang up Jaime and we had lunch at jalan Kayu. den we went to town for shopping until the evening when she was meeting else-one and i met Bong.
that was my very exciting weekend. =)
