early saturday morning, i went to sixth avenue to teach skating. (i'm really quite proud of my students at times. when u see a 3 year old doing T-brakes, or a 5 years old doing "Mohawks", you know you did something worthwhile apart from the high coaching fees.)
after that, i went down to the nearby west coast to look for zq, who was also giving lesson to his students. His students told him of a particular 3 year old "father's friend's son" who could do T-brake. Zq couldnt believe it, until i turned up and we sort of clarified that the boy in question was actually "viki" - my student. hahaha afterall like zq puts it... "how many 3 year olds in singapore can even skate?? or BRAKE?? much less T-BRAKE???" hahaha
from west coast, we went for another match of soccer. this week, it was against a CHINA team. The pitch was awesome. we scored the first goal and were cruising to our first victory. but 2 own goals later.. we were left chasing the match, and eventually losing 5-3 to those "ah-tiongs". super fed up. i really felt INSIDE the game, body-checking those chinaman twice my weight. bruised and battered by the time i finished the game. shiok. we will win the next game - i hope. haha..
after the match, we went to have team prata at the famous place beside NUS. its nice talking about army stuffs all over again. i remembered a time when we would talk about army all the time, and then forced ourselves to refrain from talking abt army. these days.... who ever talks about army anymore? but because our team had some non-ORDees.... we started on the hot favourite topic. "which unit were u from?"
evening activities would involve ZQ, Wanping, and Chinyeow. We met up to have dinner and also to watch Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! (those who cant name all four turtles off-hand, you shld go get yourselves some childhood. you Deprived.) it was a good show, because for the first time ever, we were not left wondering how good April's figure is under her famous yellow coat!
post movie, we went to west coast recreational center till after 1am. pool sessions are smartly disguised conversation platforms. i'm tired after a whole day. so we got wanping to choose anyone within the billiard saloon, and we'd show her if we're good enough by her standards.......
den we sent wanping home, back to her NUS hall. i'm constantly reminded that she's in NUS as well, as a student, yet she's constantly meeting me even though we're friends for barely 5 months? shldnt she be as busy?
