a kid all over!!

Recently i discovered its a pretty exciting thing to be a kid all over again! go skating; making friends with 18 yr olds; listening to Aqua's "barbie girl"; watching ninja turtles (i know all their names and what weapons they hold!); PLAYING with ninja turtles figurines (!!!) and rekindling all the young times' fantasy; feeling shy talking to a girl; and eating ice-cream!!! (and insisting on TWO scoops because 'Diet' is a word without a meaning)

i think we're all too caught up with being old, and living in the office-world with 30 year-old colleagues talking about COE and oil prices doesn't exactly help. i understand the lure of being 25 or 27 or 30, when you pay the deposit for your first car, get engaged, and then your first child - go ahead with it by all means, THATS life. But as you indulge in Reality, let's not forget the kid in us.

Dixie chicks sings that "children lose their years too soon" - which i agree! Children are beginning to deny that they are "children" at an ever increasingly young age - as if it was a stigma. In the rush to be "matured", we kill the premature child. Its a murder of oneself's development. Repercussions undeniable.

from today onwards, i am going to be as childish as i am allowed to be. While i take on a professional front at work, i want to have fun like a kid when no one is looking! Childish friend, come on board. i've got the potion to rouse the sleeping child in you.

first stop - i'm going to watch Bridge to Terabithia! i cried reading the book, but i believe Disney's version would be more towards the fantasy-hungry.

next stop - i'm going to go to the arcade and play Bishi Bashi Camp!!

third stop - i'm going to go out and make 20 new friends! the more childish and cartoonish the better!

fourth stop - i'm going to borrow some children's books like "bridge to terabithia" to read, and chuck away books like How To Talk To Anyone.

fifth stop - shop in Toys 'R' Us. i want to buy a pikachu for my mentor!
