yesterday and the day before, i went to MACAU and SHENZHEN respectively. Shenzhen is a load of cheap crappy stuffs. fake Armani's, fake Gucci's, fake Adidas, real "中国票", real "干那塞". i changed 300 RMB, and i was so prepared to go shopping! then i dunno what did i buy - like really. and suddenly most of the money went into carol's shopping. hahaha.. apparently there's nicer girl's clothes than guy's.
Macau was much better. we met up at 12noon, only to reach macau at 3.30pm - bus plus walking plus queueing plus one-hour ferry plus Customs meant it took an eternity before we got to the legendary Macau. Nice place, really. apart from the Casinos and the statue of Guan Yin, its really an old old "ancient town" (in carol's words) with a very strong Portugese flavour. Added to the weather which was like cold cold cold cold, it kinda felt like i dropped back into medieval times. the streets were quiet, not a bird, not an insect to be heard, just us breaking the peace. decorations of christmas time yet remained - i could retire there.
then we took a long bus ride and suddenly we're at the glamourous "other side" of macau. lights, lights and more lights. putting singapore's Christmas lights to shame. (but i love singapore!) we entered the Casino for free orange juice and picture-taking! Carol the ever-whore. We gambled abit, we HAD to... it was MACAU! everything for the experience! the last time i did something for the first time? everytime. ok we lost some money - granted. (what do u expect? we're in a casino! not some geylang back-alley) but we had FUN ar. hahaha.. i dunno why, but the moment i think of gambling i think of congjing. i can imagine him in that same casino, with that F***-face, and winning like ten thousand dollars, and sullenly, "i don't gamble much."
And another free orange juice.
carol's "ancient town". lost.
add a little black and white and TADA!
