jobs and kitaro music

i have worked in many jobs of different nature. from admin, to sales, to retail, to service, to F&B, to self-engineered enterprises, to instructional to... ad-hoc random i-need-your-lameness kinda jobs. yesterday at the FASS appreciation dinner, i remembered how it was being a server at some hotel banquet. when dinner was to be served, i totally imagined the lights to be dimmed, the music to be blasted out, (it HAS to be Kitaro, no question), purple lights would shine, smoke would be released, and then 2 rows of servers walking out from the door in a military-style march with food on their shoulders, looking all too professional and impressive. THAT, was how i remembered it to be. but out came a few waitresses who left the food on our table and walked away. *lost*

as we grow older, we seem to do more and more interesting things to make the moo-lah. gone were the days when we visited friends working in some restaurants, or tried to rip off a good staff-discounted bargain from some fashion boutiques. everyone is doing ..... interesting things these days. friends starting their own transport firm; friends chasing dreams in the less travelled roads; friends teaching piano (instead of tuition); friends working in marketing firms, thinking up ads; friends who, initially shopped for clothes online, now SELLING clothes online; friends who, basically found a method of making NEW money, money that the "little us" failed to even imagine.

anyway. i need ice cream.

how can i study when studying seems like the most boring thing to do while we're alive. cant believe we each spend SIXTEEN freakin' years of our life studying. i'm glad i'm nearing the end. try telling a 6 year old that.

"boy boy? you're 6. you need to study for 16 more years. you know how to count to 16? oh, you don't? 16 years is only just as long as it takes for a little baby to grow into a self-hurting bastard. *smile smiles*"

study hard.
