world, hold on.

as we ponder about this year's new year resolution, and 7 days creep us by, "stop procrastinating" seems like a long overdue and, as such, an inappropriate one to make...

(i was informed that X's and O's means hugs and kisses. running a search on it yields nothing decent. what did i say about me believing that we do not know anything anymore - weird world)

2 NYE ago, i watched fireworks with alby's family with a whole lot of banglas just across esplanade. i was happy, minus the bangla part. last NYE, i watched fireworks with carol wongs with a whole lot of tiongs in hongkong (and u think there're no hidden foreign workers just because they look the same). i was happy, because the natural reaction to seeing fireworks is to "be happy". this past NYE... i was at clarke quay and i saw 6 peanut-ful of fireworks - the kinda thing that makes you want to spell 'pathetic' with the letter F. nonetheless, i felt as happy. perhaps its not the fireworks at work, perhaps not the company, which leaves the sole surviving survivor - the passing of a year. =)

new year, new hope, new possibilities. (well... the same can be said of the new day, or the new hour, etc. but we like to imagine that its different when bigger numbers are changed. remember the "new millenium"? we almost thought we would return to stone age!) anyhow, the feel-good factor associated with january 1st is no less than the feel-good factor of pressing the reset button of a cranky gadget (or the feel-good factor watching Ip Man beat people up faster than u can say "bish" consecutively). i, for one, feel excited that i can make NEW resolutions - as if they're more effective when made at this period. 

and and and!! it is, was, and always will be new year RESOLUTIONS, not WISHES!!! u make wishes when u blow out candles and grow OLD. and you get only ONE wish by the way, as consolation for your getting OLD. and no they dun come true. so please stop telling people that your new year wish is for world peace - and a sony digital camera with 16 mega pixels, automatic stabilizers and 8X optical zoom!! RESOLUTIONS will sound more like... "i will not be late, i will stop being a douche in 2009". speaking of that, i heard some ACT ANG MOH calling "dolce and gabbana" -you guessed it- douche and gabbana! (why not banana?!) i cant stand people who cannot keep within their oral lines. plebeian.

but i digress. on to my personal, extremely achievable, socially beneficial resolution.. i pledge to try to stop shooting people off like this with my... evil tongue. let me shoot else how instead - give me a sony digital camera with 16 mega-pixels, automatic stabilizers and 8X optical zoom. (ha. ha!)
