-"walking is too slow"

on saturday, i met zq for a really relaxing game of pool. we havent done it this way in a while. sentimental music, cooling air con, no smell of cigarettes, perfectly polished balls, nice table, membership specials, wat else can you ask for on a saturday morning. i always love to play pool in this kinda environment, not some cheapo SSC place with all the beng beng trying to touch girls and pretend like they're good at something they're really not. it helps that the owner is a nice family, and the younger lads are actually players themselves. only 2 place in singapore so far satisfies more. the buddha bar pool saloon, and the insurpassable labyrinth. a great pool session is when u sit down and enjoy yr opponent sinking balls after balls after balls and chatting lightly about politics between each shot as though the game is jus a sub-matter. i thought i saw carol. its jus not easy to chop off something that was once so dear. used to love carol like crazy.

after pool we parted ways. he needed to go camp for 15 mins to claim a day off. mey and i met him and *nice friend* (i dunno the name exactly) at east coast after our lunch. we went skating in the haze! didnt go far because nf couldnt skate well, we ended up taking tonnes of pictures at the bedok jetty which by then looked jus like china with all the fog. (full admiration for nf, he wanted to learn skating proper before bringing a girl there. he's a shy lad, but i admire his willingness to put in effort and do recce and trial runs. he was flying before the end of the day already!) we took videos of us skating, with a turning camera shot, ala le matrix... at the end of the day i dragged mey back cos she was tired and she had to hold onto my shoulders as i tow her away.

den we bought lanterns! its belated, but heck, we cares!

at around 8 or 9pm, we went to changi airport since its so near. we reached home all dead beat. and today (sunday) i had to come to office at 7am. heh.. its worth the off though.

later: skating classes for 2 little girls. 6 or 7 years old. its so cool to do something u like and get some spare cash. the payout is awesome. rich kids, rich parents, they jus pay. i'm so tired though. so tired, but happy now.
